Dots per inch: how many pixels of the museum’s file go into each inch of paper. Our floor is 240 for sheets up to 20 inches, 180 up to 36 inches and 120 beyond, because a larger print is seen from further away. We never offer a sheet below the floor, and the number on each size is the one you receive.

All editionsOur Lady sits on a stone block with the Christ Child standing on her knee, and He turns from her toward Saint Catherine and Saint John the Baptist; Saint Joseph leans in at the right with his staff. Palma il Vecchio began it, and the Gallerie dell'Accademia say that the recent restoration suggests Titian finished it after Palma's death, painting Catherine's head and mantle and the landscape behind. Infrared shows that Palma first set two men, probably donors, beneath the Baptist, and turned the Child's face toward them. The donors are gone; their place in front is ours.
